Very nice.

very good, I love it. This song is very well paced. Doesn't rush at all, It just takes it's time and gets to where it's going peacefully. The slow build makes this song very relaxing and gives it strong upward progression, as if the song is physically climbing. I also love the variety of tones, all of which are very well blended. It feels precise and balanced. also, the little background ambient noise that's in there (it becomes really noticeable toward the end); it's a nice touch and give texture to the song, It's layered in very well. What kind of setup are you using? Would it be foolish of me to assume that you have a looper pedal?

JinxOmishThe2nd responds:

Thanks a lot! It was my wee Marshall Valvestate close and room miked going into Cubase LE where I fooled around with reverbs and delays. I didn't have a loop pedal at the time so I used really heavy and long delay for the main rhythm bit. The rest was overdubbed in Cubase.

excellent

feels very tense, like some sort of spy sneaking around a factory or something. I love it. Those little tic tac percussion sounds give it great tempo, it makes the song feel very quick. Shit gets real at 4:30 when the extra beat layer comes in. Thats when the song really picks up and finishes with a nice substantial climax, but not overly so as to ruin the overall smoothness of the track. This is very well paced, everything feels in it's place. There is certain restraint and efficiency of sound that works very well here. Outstanding work.

KKSlider60 responds:

Thank you very much ^^
I'm gonna make another "robotic" track soon, stay tuned :D
Have a special day,

great.

cool. It reminds me of something but I don't know what it is. It's very mellow sounding, just enough percussions, just enough layers. I like it.

nightsurfermusic responds:

This one will be finished, I hope. I'll let you know when it is. :)

neat.

very nice. I never thought I'd hear a TF2 track in this way. Very interesting. But WTF was that at 0:46? That hurt my ears a little. I didn't appreciate that.

superuberinsaneausm responds:

if you listen to the whole orignal theme there is a part like that. look it up

real cool.

THAT SNARE IS TASTY. I love that bassline too, it sounds like it's talking to me and I like what it's saying.

SteakJohnson responds:

i like it when my basslines talk lol

So conflicted.

95% of this is great. But that synth sound that comes in at at 0:07 (and it comes back at 0:55 with a vengeance) is awful. Sorry but it just sounds so atonal. I'm seriously not trying to be mean, but it ruins an otherwise amazing song. I love the percussions, variety, and overall pacing of the track otherwise; But when that goofy sound hits I just start frowning. I'm voting 5 anyway because you've obviously got chops.

typeMARS responds:

thx for the feedback! i just noticed :p

neat.

I like all the synth work here. I love the way it builds and the way that it's gated; perfect amounts of both. I do feel that the beat is a little in the background though; I wish it had more presence on the track.

Kendotronic responds:

Thanks! As for the beat, I unfortunately mastered this track with a woofer, so the kick is there, but it's set super deep. Try listening with a good set of headphones or computer speakers with a sub, it makes a HUGE difference.

WOW.

I was looking through my favorite artists list and I saw your name. I was like "who the fuck is this and why did I fav him?" Then I listened to like 2 of your songs and I was like "HOLY SHIT!" lol, I'm sorry I even doubted you for a second. So much variety in this thing, so many sounds, so energetic, love the chopped up "pump it up" voice, love all the great synth work, love the beat, love the the way it transitions from one section to another, I love everything about this. It sounds like ridge racer on acid. Don't ever stop dude, you're great.

SHADOWFOX2 responds:

LMFAO I will remember this review forever and always
I was trying to vary the voice and put even more robotic voices in but I didn't get around to it.
Even the beginning of the track was something I forgot I had 'til the end
Elated to hear you remembered why you fav'd me in the first place
You've been one of those users who've had me fav'd but I could never tell what you liked from me [the reason why you fav'd]
That's great though, and I love Ridge Racer 8D
Thanks for the memorable review!!

scarey.

Some of these sounds are spooky and very low tech sounding. It makes the entire song sound like a halloween themed game for the sega genesis. If that was the intented effect, then the squeaky toy sound ruins it. That was very goofy and out of place. The song you've put together here isn't awful, but the sounds used are. Changing those to something more substantial could really be a nice step in the right direction. Keep making music.

dacookup responds:

Thanks Fa DA Review !!!! The Squeak Toy Is My Signature... And I can only get better !!!

sounds like an early PS1.

I like the beat, sounds like trip hop. The glitchy part at the end that you said was an afterthought was actually my favorite part. The main synth is a little dreary and doesn't match the punchy-ness that the beat has, but it's alright. Overall, It's a nice little tune. 5/5

pookicker responds:

PS1 and Sega Saturn, some of the best times in my life :)

Ugh, perfect word, dood, dreary. Dreary is how I've been feeling, been trying to break out of that funk.

Also, I removed that Who Are You midi remix you commented on. One of my friends said almost the exact same thing you did, nice sounds but soul-less in comparison to the original. It's like a testament to me burning out a little bit, me remaking one of my tunes means I'm out of ideas entirely.

Thanks for reviews, man.
