Very Nice.

This is a great track. I'm really digging a lot of the sounds here. The first drum sample that appears in the song reminds me of the drums for Nin's song "only". It's a great pattern because it's a little bit funky, but very simple and structured. It sets the rest of the song up and layers well.

Others said that the song could use more variation; I agree, but it wouldn't take much to do it at all. The main "wah" sound that ping pongs from left to right could take a break. That would make it seem more varied if that particular sound just disappeared for a sec, then came back a few seconds later.

The rest of the sounds are on point. Shakers where you need them, kicking bass drum, appropriate transitions sounds and filters. Very nice.

Nice.

this is some fly shit right here. I especially like this bass on this track. I'm going to check out some of your other stuff too.

wow, pretty good.

nice. better than most of the rap music on hear.

neato

I had the old music generator on the PS1. Me and my cousin made some dope shit for being 12 or however old we were. It was a nice little program/game.

2:22 of noise. It's sounds like there is some stuff going on underneath it, but I can't make heads or tails of it.

YOO JUST DONT KNO METAL!!111!11!!!

I was supposed to leave you a review.

The intro is a liar. I was all ready to chill out and relax and then it's got all glitchy and shit. I love it. Smooth melody worked well at both slow and fast paces. Good job on this.

LiNaK37 responds:

Thanks for the review. I've considered making this song longer, and more "technical", but I'll probably never do it, because I'm a lazy bastard.

nice

Good use of samples. The guitar that plays throughout feels like it's being played in an other room. I can barely hear it. Are you actually playing any of the instruments on this or it's it all prerecorded loops?

JackRocker responds:

I linked to the song I sampled in the Comments, dude. The reason the guitar sounds like that is because of the effects I used, plus I wanted it to me more of a background instrument. Thanks a lot of the review, dude!

allright

I see where this is going. It'll be nice when it's done. the way it jumps from place to place is a little sloppy, and it's a little one note ( a riff, and drums); but it's just a WIP so it's only going to get better. Good luck with this, it should be nice when it's one.

thanks man. unfortunately, i got a bit lazy, so i don't know if i'll actually revisit this one or not. either way, i'm still working on some stuff, trying to get better at playing, etc. hope i'll have something you'll like up soon. my Hip Hop tracks might be more your thing.

alright

okay. There is a lot going on here, so i'm just going to dive right in. Lets start with the beat. Wow thats hectic! It's neat because it gives the song that fast, hard pace like a drum and bass song. However, it starts to feel stagnate after a few times. I would have liked to see the same instruments, but with more variation via new patterns. You did a good job of putting new sounds in there (like 0:47), but even those are the same ratatatatat pattern that the main beat is already capitalizing on. You've got a good base going on with the beat and with more layers and patterns it could really take off.

The main melody is good, I'm not sure if I would have picked the same sound, but whatever floats your boat. I do like the long flowing pad sound that plays in there. It give a great contrast to the jumpiness of the beat. Again ,like the beat, a few more touches and additions to the melody could really bring it to the next level.

I like what you've got going on. It could use some work but it's really shows potential. I'm going to look through some more of your stuff.

Aww cheers man! I was a bit worried people would just rate this 0 and move on. Really, this song was an experiment with faster drums, but thanks for feedback.

cool

pretty neat. It feels a little unfinished though. I don't know if thats because it's short, or there aren't enough textures, or what. The pieces that are in here are great though. I just feel that it could be really good if there was something else to it.

I love the sound that comes in at 0:58. That sound really contrasts well with the piano. It also does a good job of signaling the change in pace. But it's only there for a few seconds then it's over.

gingerspine responds:

Thanks for the constructive review! Yeah, it definitely is too short, but this is actually all of it. I wrote it to go with lyrics and I didn't write any more to make it longer. ^.^
Hopefully I'll be able to make it better, once I have a different programme to use. I'm glad you liked 0:58! That's my favourite part. I was having trouble going smoothly into the second part and just stuck that in there. I didn't think to put it in again; I'll keep that in mind if I do edit it!

Now Tayne I can get into!
